New-Age Parenting
Many people think of gentle parenting as a new thing, but let me say something: I’m 35 years old, and my parents did it with me. It indeed does work. Of course, if broken, we had one rule that resulted in a spanking: if I put my life or the life of another person in danger. This was back in the 1980s and 1990s, so naturally, I was still permitted to trample outside.
Overall, it was a decent rule, and I obeyed it since no one yelled at me. Now that I have children, I’ve removed the rule, but they can’t go wherever they want either. That’s a significant shift. Use words and good deeds for parenting them. It really works.
