A totally sweet find
You know what? Finding a vintage copy of Ernest Hemingway’s famous book For Whom the Bell Tolls would’ve been nice enough. But then the original poster opened it up, and these two ration coupons fell out. They were valid during World War II and allowed users to buy five pounds of sugar each.

The Office of Price Administration, for those who were wondering, was formed in 1941 to combat inflation when the United States joined World War II. It’s incredible, but we can’t help but feel sorry for the person who lost 10 pounds of sugar because they used their coupons as a bookmark…
