We’re not crying, you’re crying!
This lovely, tragic inscription was discovered inside a copy of Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet. In August 1996, to a person named Paul, the short poem and note could not have been written by anybody else but a mother.

We really don’t want to pass judgment, especially since we don’t know anything about him, but if we knew the book had THAT written inside of it, we wouldn’t want to give it up. We hope that both Paul and his mother are fine, and we advise you to go and hug your mother – or at least phone her.
