People were asked to turn on blenders with goldfish inside them
Some people do things without any justification. In other cases, the excuse for doing something is so weak that having no explanation would have been better. The former was probably the case at the Trapholt Museum when visitors were given blenders containing water and a goldfish and then asked to make a decision: turn on the blender and kill the fish, or leave it off and let it live.
The point of the art exhibit was to let visitors choose how they would use their power. A few people turned on their blenders, killing the fish instantly. Though this wasn’t a gauge of the visitors’ cruelty, one could agree that this art exhibit was nonetheless disturbing. No fish should die for anyone’s art.
