A company uses celebrity tissues to make salamis
The FoodTech company, BiteLabs, produces artificial salamis from sample tissues that belong to celebrities. According to the company’s website, “BiteLabs produces fine artisanal salami from meat that has been lab-grown from celebrity tissue samples.” This means that consumers can send a request to a celebrity they like and ask for these tissue samples.
“Today, In-Vitro meat production is close to becoming a reality, offering highly controllable meat production without the animal cruelty, waste, and environmental impacts of industrial farming. But this process can offer so much more than replicas of beef and pork,” BiteLabs says. This process creates opportunities for those who do not want to consume typical meats like chicken or steak who might be interested in trying something new–and guilt-free!
