Why Knowing the Language Is Important
We know that English is a hard language to learn, and it’s even harder to read. However, if you’re going to work as a nanny in an English-speaking country, the very least you should do is be able to read labels. We’re surprised this family even hired their nanny, who probably couldn’t communicate in English very well.
Things came to a head when the nanny gave the child a box that they might have thought was apple juice. It turned out that it was hard cider, which we didn’t know they sold in child-friendly juice boxes. The poor child was just three or four years old when they experienced their first skull-crushing headache!
