New Year, New Resolutions That Made Us Laugh and Cheer

October 24, 2011 by Jade Parker

It’s that time of year where we start to hear the chorus of “New Year, new me” echo throughout social media sites while placing bets on how long we’ll be actively chasing our goals before we lose our steam and slip back into old habits. There’s a strong possibility our New Year’s resolutions are recycled from failed attempts in the past, but the only thing that matters is that we’re putting on our big people panties and trying again.  To keep us hyped and motivated for the upcoming year and all the success we hope to build for ourselves, we’ll be taking a look at New Year’s resolutions that made us laugh, left us confused, had us cheering, and even a few that poked us in the heart and reminded us to love ourselves a little more. Cheers to the new year and the people we will strive to be!

Not Mushroom For Fear In 2022

Look closely at @crystarius’ profile avatar. She looks just as confused as we are. Her fear of mushrooms is something we might see on an episode of Maury, where the guests all harbor intense, dramatic anxiety over everyday objects the rest of us don’t think twice about. How loud will she scream if we show one to her?

While her fungus fright sounds strange and possibly unfounded, we give @crystarius big kudos for facing her fears and trying to make peace with her mushroom foes in the upcoming year. She’s off to a good start by identifying their good points and acknowledging their looks are what fuels her terror. Best of luck, @crystarius!
