We’ve Heard This One Before
People have tried to place themselves on internet detoxes since the advent of social media and the undeniably entertaining time-suck it has created. The New Year’s resolution of “less social media” is this generation’s “I’m going to eat healthier.” While we’ve heard it a million times, it’s no less important, and here’s why.
Too much screen time can hurt our brains and bodies. The blue light can cause sleep difficulties, and those awkward angles we pretzel ourselves into on the sofa for hours of internet surfing on the small screen warps our posture. It’s probably why we’re feeling 80 at 30, so let’s join u/M0066 in lightening up on the social media. We’ll survive the FOMO.
