Two Sides to Every Story: These News Stories Are Not as Wholesome as We’d Like to Think

No Rest for the Elderly

As mentioned, retirement has become nothing but a dream for many people, and that is not a reality exclusive to the U.S. Many countries around the world are experiencing a retirement crisis as well, each year more elderly can’t afford to retire and need to keep working in order to survive. If you thought this was frustrating, brace yourself for this slide:

That’s right, instead of helping our elderly to live financially comfortably at the end of their lives, humanity found a way they can continue to be exploited but without back pain. I wish I had anything positive to say about this, but unfortunately, I don’t. The only thing I can think now is that I kind of want that exoskeleton, even though I’m not 90 years old, my back posture certainly looks like it.
