A Surprising Acception
It is pretty ironic that in South Korea, wearing a neckline below your collarbone is considered inappropriate, as we discussed earlier. However, mini skirts are 100 percent acceptable. If you choose to wear a mini skirt when traveling to South Korea, you will actually fit right in. Just make sure to cover your upper body.
In America, the legs are considered a sexualized part of the body. Primary school establishments usually ban mini skirts or have dress codes regarding the length of them. Cleavage is sexualized and frowned upon in America as well in professional settings, but it’s perfectly acceptable to wear tops below the collar bone. It’s strange that it’s basically the opposite in South Korea.
