Smooching is a Big No-No
You just started dating your significant other. Everything is new and exciting, the attraction is electric and you can’t keep your hands off each other. You start kissing in public while people should “Get a room!” at the two of you. Public displays of affection are common between lovers in South Korea as well, but there is absolutely no kissing in public allowed.
That’s right. In South Korea, feel free to hold your partner’s hand and throw your arm around them, but wait until you’re in the privacy of your own home to kiss. This act is almost considered taboo to do in public to older generations and it’s considered to be highly immodest.
