Way Too Good Customer Service
We’ve discussed earlier that unlike in America, restaurant workers in South Korea are paid fairly and can afford a decent living off their wages. This motivates them to be more passionate about providing exceptional customer service while on the shift. Therefore, they will keep filling your glass until you’ve ended your night at the restaurant.
Although you may have kept drinking, you technically didn’t ask for the pounding headache you’re going to experience tomorrow morning. But your waiter actually kept filing your glass out of respect. In South Korea, you have to communicate that you’re finished drinking by leaving some of the beverage in the glass.
