In a real-life version of “You’ve Got Mail,” Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix supposedly started off as “email friends” after they met on the set of ‘Her’ in 2012. It was only after they wrapped up the shooting of their next movie together “Mary Magdalene” in 2016 that they upgraded from friends to something more. Since then, the couple has moved in together and even welcomed baby boy, River, to the world. 

Rooney could not be happier about exploring this new phase of life with her son and her partner Joaquin. It’s interesting to think that Joaquin was convinced Rooney didn’t like him initially when the truth was completely different.
