Kids have a lot of interestingly imaginative ideas about how the world works when you’re an adult. They aren’t all bad ideas either, like this one, where credit cards are a limitless financial passport to getting anything you want. Brand new Ferrari? Swipe! It’s yours. Need a new house? Swipe! Move on in!
If only it were that easy. In the cold, harsh reality we live in, our spending sprees are restricted by credit limits and the self-control we have to exercise in not spending more than we can pay back unless we want to be one of 60% of people swimming in credit card debt.
