They Scared Us Senseless
People love to scare themselves silly with horror movies, especially those that boast a storyline based on true events. In 1999, The Blair Witch Project kept us sleeping with one eye open, wondering how many other witches were roaming around in the woods, waiting to feast on our innocent and curious souls.
The movie wasn’t only believable; it was shot with low-quality camcorders and advertised as found footage. There was marketing genius at play with fake missing person posters and news stories and a faux documentary on the legend of The Blair Witch. If you’re still shaking from this film, you can rest assured that the entire story was a paranormal fantasy.
