That’s pretty confusing
If you know even the tiniest bit of plant anatomy, you probably know that a flower’s petals grow independently of its leaves. Usually, pedals grow first, and then the flowers start to bloom, but something happened to this plant that caused the tulip’s pedal to fuse together with a leaf.
We can’t find an explanation for this happening. Are young tulip petals green and become a different color with age? If not, then this is truly a fascinating find. Sadly, they removed the petal from the flower instead of letting it grow. If there’s no name for this phenomenon, we’re coining it “a freak of nature.”
