Why not put a manhole in the middle of a mall?
Judging by the looks of this manhole cover, we’d fancy a guess that it was there long before they built a mall around it. But while constructing the building, why would anyone remove and redirect the sewer lines beneath? The last thing anyone at a mall would want is to risk falling into the stinky sewer down below.
It looks like the construction workers actually cut the floor tiles to accommodate the manhole cover. Unless this is a prop or inside joke, we don’t see any reason why it belongs there. And what happens when someone needs to go down there to repair the sewer line? These are questions science has yet to answer.
