We’re Hostage to Irrational Emotions
Estrogen and progesterone are bullies. They corner pregnant women from the first trimester and beat them in the feelings until they cry over anything and everything. They aren’t always bad tears. Sometimes it’s because we suddenly realize how much we love our favorite t-shirt or because we saw a cute camel giving birth on the Discovery Channel.
Other times, the tears flow from a deep sadness we know is monumentally unreasonable, but again, those hormonal bullies have taken us hostage and made it the worst thing that could happen in life when there’s too many Oreo flavors to choose from, we’ve spilled water on ourselves, or the sandwich shop closed when our cravings kicked in.
