#6: The Price of Silence
Busking, or performing in public for donations, is so common on the New York subway, it’s not even funny. Certain trains even have regulars who perform at the same time every day in hopes of getting money from generous passengers. Even though they can be fun to watch and listen to at first, we’re sure they can get old really fast for someone who rides the train every day.
This E train passenger took matters into their own hands when a busker walked onto the train during a stop. They were so desperate to not hear another mediocre Bob Dylan cover that they offered to pay the guy $20 to hold off on performing. We wonder if the musician took them up on the offer or decided to risk it all for a few extra bucks. What would you do?
