Wear the big jumpers
Let’s face it, we’ve all been there. Knelt on the floor of the departure lounge, opposite the check-in desks, frantically scrabbling through our suitcase to find things we can remove, or wear, or put in our hand luggage. All so that we don’t have to pay for excess baggage.
The better, and less stressful alternative, where possible, wear your heaviest and bulkiest clothes and shoes instead of packing them. Now, rocking up to the gate in your skiwear probably isn’t going to work, but wearing your coat instead of trying to fit it into your case will make your bag much lighter.
