After a flight, many passengers complain about the poor flavor of the meal. Many people blame the chefs who prepare the meals, claiming that they are not good enough. Poor tasting food on a plane may be explained through scientific studies in recent times.
The study blames the tongue, not necessarily the food. One-third of a person’s taste buds become numb at high elevations. The flavor of the meal consumed while at such a height will most certainly not be as delicious as expected.
