Laying a hand
Bedtime as a parent is drought with danger. Commando crawling out of the nursery door in case they wake and see you leaving, shushing until you’re hoarse to convince them everything is o and it’s time to go to sleep.
This little trick could save you time spent in a darkened room, wishing the time away. Fill a glove with dried beans or rice, and pop it on your kid’s back. That way they think you’re still there, and you can sneak off to actually eat your dinner.
