Parents Reveal the Most Disturbing Things Their Children Have Said to Them

February 2, 2013 by Jade Parker

From their curious questions to bold declarations, kids can be a source of endless entertainment. Their questions can take a darker turn and leave us with more questions than answers. Whether it’s a comment about death or an eerie prediction about the future, these creepy things kids say can be downright unsettling. That leaves us adults sleeping with the lights on and eyes wide open. Today, we’ll be looking at some of the oddest, hair-raising things kids have said to their parents and siblings that will make you question your sanity.

Blood, Sand, and Unicorns

Sandboxes are more than just a gritty pile of beach dirt where we worry about our toddlers gorging on the sand by the fistful. They’re hailed as a developmental play center where kids bring their imaginations to life through creating, building, and drawing while strengthening their motor and social skills. Nothing terrifying about that, right?

While some kids erect sandcastles, others are casually brewing the blood of their favorite mythical creatures. Don’t worry, big cousin. Mya is probably just exploring her life as a hematologist in Fantasyland, or maybe as a shopkeeper for mystics. Someone has to keep the witches and wizards stocked up on unicorn blood.
