What Happens to Your Car if You Go Too Long Without an Oil Change
It’s relatively common to go a little bit too long between oil changes. While they’re recommended every 5000 miles or every six months, pushing an oil change off for a few more weeks doesn’t usually have dire effects. Avoiding an oil change for 84,000 miles, however, can do some real damage.
We all have tons of responsibilities to remember–paying the bills, answering emails, going to the dentist, getting the car’s oil changed, and it might be hard getting on top of everything. But most of us still manage to get our car into the shop more frequently than this person! We’re willing to bet they had no clue what an oil change was, or that they needed one.
