Having a Miscarriage at Work
Work is necessary to provide an income to support yourself and your family. You have things to pay for and want to afford to go out and do the things you want to do. But a workplace that doesn’t respect you when you are experiencing a miscarriage doesn’t deserve your time and effort.
Some employers are appalling with how they treat their employees, like the situation Maisha shares. It’s not like she chose to have a miscarriage on a holiday and her employer making her feel guilty for her situation, which is hard enough to begin with, is just wrong. She did the right thing never returning to that company, that’s for sure.
