Working After a Tsunami
Japan is known for having catastrophic tsunamis. Despite the wreckage, life must go on and people pick up the pieces to put their lives back together. It takes time, though, and going back to work isn’t the highest priority after a natural disaster strikes. What we’d like to know is who would think it’s a good idea to open a school the day after a tsunami.
Molly was working in Japan when a tsunami took place. The preschool she worked at was the only school open the next day and, quite understandably, only two kids showed up. Molly’s employer seemed fine after the disaster and was insensitive about her (and the rest of the school) taking a moment to collect herself.
