A Made-Up Emergency Store Meeting
Having dental work done isn’t fun and can leave you unable to talk and drooling excessively afterward (we’re saying this from personal experience). Any surgery should require individuals to take at least one day off to rest and recover from the treatment they received. Even more so when you work at customer support, and are required to talk to people throughout the day.
However, in this person’s situation when they had dental surgery, instead of giving her the day off, the store owner came into town demanding all the employees to attend an emergency meeting, which included training. The person had to go in and be retrained at work with a sore mouth and unable to talk.
