#8: The Cafeteria Whistleblower
This ban sounds like a breaking news cover-up! When this person was in college, they noticed that food poisoning was pretty common among the people who ate at the cafeteria. In an effort to investigate, they showed up to the cafeteria one day with a food safety thermometer and a copy of state Health Department temperature ranges.
As they were about to record the temperatures of the deliciously undercooked meat they received, an employee kicked them out and banned them from returning. Turns out, the cafeteria consistently served undercooked food that was anywhere from 20 to 40ºF below-recommended temperatures. Yikes. The cafeteria didn’t really need to ban this person, because why would they even come back?
