Striking Gold
We’ve all spent years of our childhood playing the computer game Gold Miner, but no one has ever dreamed of actually finding a block of gems. A couple of years back, an 8-foot block of crystals was found in the Ron Coleman Mine in Jessieville, near Hot Springs, Arkansas.

The man in the picture posing next to this impressive block of quartz, which is said to be worth around $4 million, wasn’t a random visitor who just happened to find this mineral, however. He was an employee at the mine, working with a team that was assigned on a four-day excavation to extract this mineral. Still, we’d stay that striking an 8-foot block of crystals is pretty lucky!
