#34: A Growing Boy
Look, parenting is expensive. Not only are you paying to keep this kid alive and fed and healthy, you’re also paying for piano lessons and tennis camp and family trips to Disney World and birthday presents and toys and clothing. But here’s the trouble: buying things for kids is trying to hit a moving target.
They just grow so fast! You buy a toy a kid likes, and a month later, they’ve outgrown it and come up with something new that they’re interested in. You buy clothing or shoes; a month later, they’ve outgrown them. So smart moms, kind of like this one, have learned how to deal with it. Unfortunately, no one explained to her son that things change once you’re an adult.
