#39: Should Be a Team Player
I would take this one with a grain of salt. If the job description requires a very specific and very quantifiable skill set, and you’re not even close to having that skill set, then all you’re doing by applying is wasting your time and the time of the person doing the hiring.
But if you’re close, and you’re a strong applicant in other ways, and if no one applies who has better qualifications than you, then yeah, you have definitely got a chance. And if the qualification you’re missing is vague, like “Good communicator,” then yeah, go ahead and apply. no one knows what that means anyway.
