#10: Don’t Poop Where You Sleep
While not everyone here picks up after their dog, it’s certainly expected. Many of our parks even have little bags and disposal areas, so there is no excuse not to bend down, pick it up, and throw it away. I’ve never actually thought about it, and maybe that speaks volumes about how well Americans handle dog excrement.

There are over 89.7 million dogs in America, with an average of 48 million households owning pups across the country. In fact, there is one dog for every 2.4 people, according to the AVMA. Statistically speaking, this means that 1 in 3 people own a dog, though we all know that many families choose to own two or more pups.
