#17: It’s a Matter of Attitude
This is something I wouldn’t have known from my travels. I didn’t realize that Americans were overly optimistic, but after reading this, I can see it. We tend to keep our heads up and carry on, regardless of the pitfalls on our way. I can also see how that would be annoying to other people.

You learn through failures, and they’re imperative to get where you want to go. Giving up just leaves you where you’re at until something comes along, which isn’t very helpful. Maybe I’m overly optimistic as well? I guess I should be thankful if that’s the case.
