Optimism seems to be a recurring theme in these posts, and I’m beginning to wonder why. We aren’t the most optimistic and happy country by a long shot. We don’t even make it into the top ten as far as that’s concerned. That said, optimism is remaining steadfast and hopeful in the face of adversity.

Maybe we have just enough adversity here that we have become overly optimistic to balance it out. I guess you don’t have to look on the bright side of things if everything is on the bright side, right? That makes a sort of twisted logic that backs this claim up.
