This person was fired for one of the worst reasons possible. Basically, their boss accused them of stealing money from the cash register, even though nobody had any proof. That actually sounds like the boss is scapegoating someone else for a crime they committed.

Instead of being told to get lost, the OP stopped receiving hours. So, technically, they probably still work for the company, even though it has been about five years since they last worked a shift there. What if the employer gave them a call one day and asked why they didn’t report for their shift?
