Let Our Competitors Take You
Now, we could be totally mistaken here, but if an employee knows “too much” about your business, wouldn’t that be a reason to retain them? After all, you don’t want that employee to enter the job market and be swept up by one of your competitors, right?

Apparently, this boss wasn’t thinking that far ahead. After firing the OP for knowing too much about the company, they received a phone call from one of their former workplace’s competitors, who was offering a higher wage. Unless they signed an NDA, the OP should totally reveal everything they knew about their former workplace to their new employer.
