Nightmare Fuel Fruit
Growing your own food can be highly rewarding. Time out in the garden and away from your problems can help you reset your mind and save on your grocery bill. No one ever warns you about the radioactive-looking citrus that can spontaneously appear on your trees and leave you fearful of what you’ll find if you cut them open.
How does this happen? Bugs. Citrus bud mites infest the leaves and flower buds, causing the bizarre, twisted formations. Using miticides sparingly 2-3 months before the flowers bloom can help with damage control, but you don’t want to annihilate them all since they help ward off even more dangerous organisms.
