A Story Told in License Plates
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is one of the most legendary films of recent times, if not all time. It’s about a young man who ditches school and enjoys a day completely free of learning and stress. While we can pretty figure out the personalities of every character as the film progresses, we receive a pretty helpful reminder told in the form of license plates.
For instance, Cameron’s father’s license plate reads NRVOUS, showing that he’s always on edge. Ferris’ mother’s license plate has the letters VCTN for vacation, while his dad’s reads MMOM, which is supposed to mean Mr. Mom. As for the principal’s license plate—4FBDO—it’s pretty clear.
