Staying Ignorant
It’s time to face the truth: we’re not exactly known for our navigational skills. In fact, around 11% of Americans can’t read a map. I don’t know about you, but I feel personally attacked! I might rely too heavily on Google Maps, but who has time to learn how to read those squiggly lines?
However, as much as we are aware of the problems in the American education system, we shouldn’t be proud of it! There’s no way a 13-year-old not knowing any capital city is something to be normalized. We should strive to give the next generations a better education than we got.
