Preteen and Teen Chicken Soup For The Soul

July 11, 2020 by MamaBee

Chicken Soup For The Soul books are a great form of reading that gives inspiration, laughter, and good life lessons to those reading depending on the topic and readers. Many current parents grew up with these books, so you may recognize the name. I even used to read these books to and with my eldest child when they were growing up as a way to share time together.

These books can have so many benefits, and now they’re re-imagining their preteen and teen books for today’s audience! Today I’m here to tell you about these new books, some of the ways they can benefit your child, and more.

What Are These Chicken Soup for the Soul Books?

Chicken Soup For The Soul has come out with two new books titled Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Positive for Preteens and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Positive for Teens that will begin being for sale October 27, 2020. These are designed to have stories and pieces that help teens and preteens with many lessons and ideas that are useful for their lives and mental health.

Why Are These Chicken Soup for the Soul Books Special?

The newer books are differently formatted than the traditional Chicken Soup For The Soul to work perfectly for teens and preteens of all reading preferences and attention spans (basically, even those not a fan of reading can enjoy these too). They’re a 5×7 inch book that have a setup similar to a magazine with graphics, quotes, activities, and more. This way it can keep your teen’s attention easier and feel more interesting as well as help the lessons stick in their minds.

What Do These Chicken Soup for the Soul Books Teach?

Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Positive for Preteens and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Positive for Teens are created for these age groups to learn a variety of important life lessons. This is really similar to the other style of Chicken Soup For The Soul books, but made more easy to digest for today’s audience. The books can help with self-esteem, compassion, resilience, how to confidently and enthusiastically take on new challenges, empathy, gratitude, and so much more.

The Lessons In Real Life

These important lessons that the two books can teach teens and preteens can be really helpful for their current and future lives. Self-esteem is something so many kids in this age group struggle with and is important to how they present themselves and handle many difficult situations.

They will also take on many challenges throughout their school and adult life, so being able to know how to handle these with confidence and resilience can be really appreciated.

Not to mention how useful empathy, compassion, and gratitude can be in life situations as well as in maintaining a positive outlook and mindset in life.

Overall, these two new books are a really great idea to get for your kids. Teens and preteens struggle with a lot in that stage of life, and a simple book like Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Positive for Preteens and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Positive for Teens could make their challenges and hardships feel much easier and less scary.

If you are considering purchasing one of these, they released on October 27, 2020, and you can find the information for them here.
