#22: History and Her-story
When you think of Anne Frank, you think of the turbulent 1940s in which she lived and unfortunately died. Now, think of the iconic figure Martin Luther King, Jr. He was mainly prominent in the 1950s and 1960s. What do they have in common besides cementing themselves in history? Both were born in 1929.

Now, we don’t consider this to be a mind-boggling fact in that it’s unbelievable or implausible. It’s more like that our brains tend to compartmentalize things. We associate certain historical folks with certain time periods. Anne Frank perished prior to Martin Luther King, Jr.’s boundary-breaking Civil Rights Movement. And yet both would be the same age if they were alive today.
