Did you know that there are over 200 dead bodies of hikers on Mount Everest that were never retrieved? According to this Reddit post, they serve as markers for hikers who take on the massive (and famous) mountain. That’s pretty macabre, if you ask us. Surely most of them are skeletons by now, and either way, it’s just as disturbing.
Who needs a map to traverse Mount Everest when you have friendly, helpful skeletons to show the way? We’d imagine it’s like, “Take a right at the severed hand from a hiker that died a hundred years ago” or “When you hit the pile of skeletons on that corner, you’ve gone too far.” But we’re not experts.
