Random Fun Facts That Are Excellent Ice Breakers for Meeting New People

January 14, 2010 by Molly Reynolds

You Don’t Say

A moment of honesty – geography isn’t our strong suit, so this fact is particularly fascinating for us. It seem as if culture-wise, you really couldn’t come up with two countries that were worlds apart as much as Norway and North Korea. Pretty much the only thing they have in common, as far as we know, is that both have an “n” in their names.

One is is Europe, the other is in Asia, the language is different, the history, the culture, the food, and everything else. And yet, they are only separated by one country. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that this country is Russia – the largest country in the world – which we’ve also learned is bigger than Pluto. So really, no surprise there.
