Resetting the Timer
Did you know that our bodies only have two to three minutes of oxygen before we need more? That means our biological timer runs out if we don’t, you know, breathe. It’s weird to think about it this way, but one breath can save a life. After those two to three minutes pass and we breathe, the “timer” resets itself.
Bodies are, undoubtedly, pretty miraculous. The things we can do are feats of biological ingenuity. However, humans are also incredibly vulnerable, and this factlet proves just that. If you think about it, we’re on the brink of death every few minutes if we don’t breathe. Breathing not only makes you feel better, but it keeps you alive.
