Apparently, a hippo’s milk is pink. Now, we wonder whether George Lucas was inspired by hippos when creating the popular blue and green milks for Star Wars. Additionally, what if hippo milk tastes like strawberries? That would be an interesting plot twist and would surely usher in a band of fools hellbent on milking hippos for profit.
Hippos secrete two acids called “Hipposudoric acid” and “Norhipposudoric acid.” Apparently, the former is crimson in color and is weirdly referred to as “blood sweat.” But don’t worry, it’s neither blood nor sweat. A hippo’s milk is also expelled below the water’s surface. So, chances are this milk would taste pretty acidic and nothing like strawberries.
