The renowned children’s TV show aimed to be the premier educational program on television, created and conceptualized by masters of mass media. While it’s uncertain if their vision of crafting the ultimate learning program on TV was successful, one thing is sure—everyone, from those who grew up in the ’70s to today, is familiar with Sesame Street.
This vintage cast photo from the ’70s introduces us to our beloved Big Bird and friends from the time when the show was initially titled “123 Avenue B.” Fortunately, that cumbersome name was eventually changed.
