Make a personal cooling device
You can make a “cooling pack” using silica gel if you are always outside in the hot weather and would like a way to stay cool when you are working. Within a sewn tube, usually, about 18 inches long and one inch wide, put the loose silica beads. Close the other end, but make sure that the beads are not packed too tightly in the tube so they stay flexible.
Take the pack in cool water, then put it on your bare skin around your neck before going out in the sun. When you heat up, the pack absorbs heat and the silica water evaporates and discharges heat and keeps you cooler.
