#14: 3D Exit Sign
Oftentimes, when I’m in an unfamiliar building, I see arrow signs pointing to where I need to go, but sometimes they’re simply confusing. Does a diagonal arrow pointing slightly up show that your destination is on the right side of the hall, or up the stairs? It may sound silly, but if there’s any room for discrepancy people will misunderstand and get lost!
This is a clever way to show where’s the exit door. The man is clearly exiting the building. There is little room for misinterpretation here. I also like that they chose to use green instead of red because green shows where you should GO. All of our emergency exit signs are red, so every instinct tells you to STOP when you really need to leave. We need to be cool, calm, and collected while evacuating, so green is the better color.
