#4: The Drain is Right Under the Soap Dispenser
This is what I’m talking about. Practical, intentional design, people! I actually thought of this design solution for the soap dispenser years ago, so I’m confused why it hasn’t caught on yet. It’s a very simple solution to a very common problem, so I can’t be the only person who thought of it before. Why isn’t this everywhere?

When soap gets in the wrong spot, it can be a pain to get rid of. You have to keep pouring more and more water onto it until it’s gone. This reminds me of French homes that have a built-in drying rack in their cupboard over their kitchen sink. After washing, you can immediately put the dishes away and they drain straight into the sink. No need to purchase or replace drying matts or racks ever again! Imagine never running out of counter space again. The Europeans and their savvy space-saving tricks!
