The Papaya, Similar to Other Tropical Fruits, does Best When Grown in Warm Climates.
It is possible for the papaya to be damaged by refrigeration as it ripens, and placing it in the refrigerator before it is completely ripe can result in a texture that is dull and mushy. Papaya is not the only fruit that can be classified as a tropical fruit.
Do not refrigerate a watery papaya too quickly because it will be unpleasant to eat. Tropical fruits prefer a higher degree of warmth. Only cut open the papaya when it is fully ripe. Then you may put it in the refrigerator to keep it fresher for longer.
